Jay Treat came to graduate school at Penn because the Religious Studies program was actively involved in computer-assisted tools for textual analysis. Since 1994, he has worked for SAS Computing (at Penn), where he supports the use of technology in teaching and research, especially in the humanities. Technology evolves rapidly. It's worth assessing what's available to empower a more participative learning process.
